Q1: I've never had a massage before, which should I get?
A: Start with a Swedish, you can always ask for more firm pressure later if it's too light.
Q2: Is prenatal massage really safe?
A: It depends on the body we're working with. First the guest must understand that "pregnancy is not an illness;" and that pregnant people are not fragile creatures. Next, the guest and MT must consider a few factors in order to determine if the massage is safe 1)how far along the pregnancy is 2)the position the pregnant person will be in while getting a massage 3)what body parts will be massaged 4)the speed of the massage 5)the depth of the massage 6)the intensity of the massage 7)the intention of the massage and 8)the baby's growth and health. For instance, If a guest comes in with a history of miscarrying every other month a massage would not be safe for them. Another guest may visit with no recent history of miscarrying, no health complications and no pregnancy related pain and massage be perfectly fine.
Q3: Why do you require full payment and won't accept a deposit like other spas?
A: We require full payment to ensure our MT's get paid for their time and effort rather than hoping our guest keep their word and pay after the session. Our MT's are already in a vulnerable position by going into guests homes, it takes the awkwardness away as well.
Q4: Are hot stones hot?
A: Yes, hot stones are hot, however, at Spa Oguzor we do not place stones but keep them moving; and we never put any stone on your body without being able to comfortably hold it first.
